Three things you didn't know about us-blog hop

I wasn't sure I was going to participate this week, because I was sick all night and all day today. My hubby was so wonderful and took such good care of me and watched the girls so I could rest. Thankfully I am now feeling sooooooo much better.

So, I actually had a hard time coming up with three.

1. My husband and I have been married for six years, but we have been together for eight. We met at church and we started dating about a year after we met. I knew after a month that we would get married. Life is never perfect, but I am very thankful for Jason,Brianna and Addison.

2. My husband and I have a total of eight siblings between the two us. Jason has three older brothers, and I have four older sisters and a brother. We also have nineteen nieces and nephews and I have seven great-nieces and nephews. Talk about big family gatherings!

3. I work part-time (three days a week)at a Christian preschool. It is the perfect job for me. I teach three-year- olds and I love it! Three-year-olds can be a lot of work, but I really can't imagine doing anything else right now. The best part is both of my girls have been able to come with me, and I can check on them through out the day. They are just down the hall from me. This year Brianna is starting kindergarten and I am very nervous. I have loved having her at school with me. We have all the school breaks together and our summers off. You can't get better than that.

As you can see, my life isn't exactly all that exciting, but I am loving it!
Thanks for stopping by! This blog hop is a lot fun!

Red, white, and blue cake

I hope everyone had a great July 4th! We had such a nice day. We went swimming, Jason grilled hot dogs for lunch, and Brianna made a cake all by herself. Well, I helped a little and did all of the clean up,but the majority of the work was done by her. Then, my parents came over for dinner and we went out to watch more fireworks from our driveway.

Fireworks

Our city had it's first annual fireworks display last night. It was so much fun! They had a jump house, free popcorn, and free snow cones. The fireworks were so good! I was worried Addie might get scared, but she was thrilled with all the lights and noise. Brianna during the National Anthem. They were using a
slingshot to catapult these t-shirts into the crowd. Brianna
was so excited when Jason got one. She just had to wear it.

Me and my sweet girls.

Proud to be an American!

Daddy had to share his snow cone with Addie.

Trip to Austin

We took a short weekend trip to Austin a couple of weeks ago. My cousin,Leeann, lives in Austin and my Aunt Betty, cousin Holly, and cousin Barry were there visiting her. Since Austin is such a short trip for us we decided to go as well. We had so much fun just hanging out and enjoyed spending time together. We really didn't do much, we went to dinner one night, but we stayed around the hotel most of the time and let the kids swim and play. Me with Carrie, Barry holding Addison, Holly, and Amy.

Me and Addie.

We went to a great Italian place where everything was
served family style, which worked great, because we had 20 people
at dinner. This is our table.

This is the other table.

Bunnies

We found these little bunnies in our yard a few weeks ago. They were so tiny! Brianna was so excited to look at them. Addison was excited too, but she was so loud and kept yelling "puppy!" I decided to stand back with her a little so she didn't frighten the poor things.

Summer

Aunt Annette this post is for you! I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. This summer has been pretty busy, but it has been nice to be able to relax some and enjoy our free time together. First of all, I got to see my friends welcome a sweet, healthy baby boy to the world. I could not be more happy for their family!!!!!! Me and sweet baby Wyatt.

We have also enjoyed swimming and spending time with friends.
Addie got to eat her first popsicle and she loved it.

Because it has been so hot we have been spending time
indoors during the hottest part of the day. On Tuesdays and
Wednesdays they have free movies at our local theater.
We have enjoyed going, even though Addie sometimes gets bored and
starts to wiggle. She usually likes to start off in her own seat, but I
have to hold her towards the end.
