BRIANNA'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Well, we actually made it through the first day! Brianna did great and she really seemed to be excited this morning, and she woke up bright and early on her own, which pretty much has never happened with her. She just asked me to be sure and pick her up after school, and to have Daddy come if I was too tired! I told I would never be too tired to pick her up. Jason and I barely made it out the front doors before the tears hit, but I think we did pretty well. I was so excited to go get her this afternoon. I kept myself busy all morning, but after lunch time dragged by a little slowly. Eating breakfast.

All ready to go! Doesn't she look cute!

On the ride to school.

I snapped this last picture as we were about to walk away. I am so proud of my big Kindergarten girl.

Lake Whitney

Well, I am finally getting around to posting about our trip to Lake Whitney two weeks ago. Jason's family rented a lake house for a few days. We got there Thursday and came home on Sunday afternoon. We had a nice time, but were very tired and ready to come home and crash! While, the house was big enough to accommodate all of us, it was a little less than clean and very dusty and musty! My allergies were awful for a week after we got home. I think we all made the most of it, and enjoyed being together! We swam, rode on the boat, had water balloon fights, played games, made smores, and ate a lot of great food! I somehow managed to get some of my pictures out of order, but you get the general idea! Brianna and Nathan making crazy faces with smores all over them.

I don't think Brianna has ever had a smore, and she LOVED it!

Daddy had to help get the marshmallow toasted just right.

Uncle Kirk let Brianna drive the boat!

Mommy and Addison. Addison loved riding on the boat, but did not like the life jacket at all.

Brianna really took to swimming while we were there. Thank you Uncle Jeff for getting her to try! At the beginning of the summer she would freak if her head went under water. She was adamant that she did not want swim lessons! Now she is so brave and has no fear. Jason took her swimming this week and she was jumping off the sides all by herself. I am so glad she has gotten over her fear!

Kelsey, Lauren, Lindsey and Addie digging for shells. Later, Lindsey cut her finger on a piece of glass and they stopped digging in the dirt after that.

Addie is really starting to take after her big sister! She loves purses, makeup, jewelery, dresses, and tea parties! Such a little girly girl!

American Girl Store

We took a quick trip to the American Girl store with one of Brianna's friends, Sarah, and her mom. We didn't stay long, but the girls had a great looking around. Brianna wants to go back for her birthday, and she had fun picking stuff out to get next time. We love American girls!

Block Party

We had a little block party and cookout with some of our wonderful neighbors. It was so much fun getting to know each other better and let the kids play together. Brianna loved playing with her friend Savannah. Jason smoked ribs and they were awesome! I gave one to Addie and she loved it. I really thought she would just chew on it a little bit, but she was ripping the meat right off! Her daddy was so proud! She was very upset when daddy took the rib away though.

Outdoor fun

We have had a few nice days here that have allowed us to play outside a little. My girls just love playing outdoors! Isn't amazing with all the toys kids have, playing with boxes can be just as much fun!
